JJ Jimenez is a native New Yorker and photographer whose work celebrates the raw, unfiltered beauty of life. Her self-published zine “Disco Pussy Syndrome” captures New York City in the late 90s and early 2000s through intimate portraits of friends and moments of authenticity, transformation and connection, with a strong presence of queer culture. These themes continue to shape her practice today. She holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and divides her time between New York City and Sydney, Australia.
