About us

WePresent is WeTransfer’s arts platform. In the very beginning, our small team commissioned artists from all over the world to make WeTransfer wallpapers. Feeling it was a shame to show the artists’ work without giving any information about the creative behind it, we launched a blog called This Works to publish articles about the artists we love. We, erm, got a bit carried away…

After a year or so, we started collaborating with artists such as Kamasi Washington, Ryan McGinley and FKA twigs to create bigger projects. These deserved a better home than a simple Wordpress, so a specially-designed new site was born to house them. This is the WePresent you see today. These days, we are a digital arts platform which tells weird, wonderful and unexpected stories about creativity, to celebrate the extraordinary impact it has on the world around us.

Be it through art, music, photography, film or literature we work with some of the world’s most exceptional creative minds to tell stories in new ways that might spark inspiration in our readers. So far, we’ve commissioned stories, manifestos, films and projects from the likes of Moses Sumney, Solange Knowles, Renell Medrano, Michel Gondry, Marina Abramović and Bernardine Evaristo among many others.

Our mission is to be the most representative creative site on the internet. To date we have worked with more than 1000 artists from over 100 countries. We’ve even won a few awards along the way, including an Academy Award for “The Long Goodbye”, a collaboration with Riz Ahmed and Aneil Karia. We tell stories that span diverse communities—whether that's age, race, geography, gender or sexuality—because we believe that more voices equals better ideas.

Got a story to tell?

Have you got an unexpected story about creativity that you want to pitch to us? Or a project that you think we need to know about? Well then, we want to hear from you! You can submit your ideas by emailing ideas@wetransfer.com. We can't get back to everyone, but we promise (cross our hearts, hope to die, stick a needle in our eye) that we read every single one.

Please keep in mind that we are looking for unexpected stories—we don't want to tell the same sorts of stories everyone else is telling. We like pushing the definition of "creativity" as far as possible, and giving insight into the messy, magical creative process behind every great idea.
