A household name in the creative scene, Jessica Walsh is an American designer, art director, illustrator, and educator. Starting her career as an intern at Pentagram, Jessica spent a year under the legendary Paula Scher before moving to Print magazine, where she had design work and illustrations published in the likes of the New York Times. Jessica met Stefan Sagmeister in 2010, who she worked alongside for nine years as the co-founder of famed design studio Sagmeister & Walsh. In 2019, she founded her own creative agency &Walsh, hoping to make her mark on the startlingly low 0.1% of agencies owned by women. Jessica also started Ladies, Wine & Design, a nonprofit intiative which provides women and non-binary people with events, meetups, and mentorships, with the aim of creating a more diverse and inclusive industry.
We featured Jessica as part of “Team Building,” a series about creative collaboration made in partnership with Creative Lives in Progress. She told us about her own fantasy team of collaborators, which includes an incredible mix of powerhouse women from various corners of the creative world.
