Songhoy Blues are a much-adored band formed in Timbuktu in Mali. The group formed after they had been forced to leave and subsequently fled their hometown. Their rousing, psychedelic blues sound has attracted attention from some of the biggest names in music (Iggy Pop Julian Casablancas, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs to name a few) who have stepped in to aid them on their journey to global stardom. In March 2025 they created a Manifesto for WePresent.
