British illustrator Polly Nor creates deliciously dark and satirical drawings of women and their demons. In her colorful scenes, these demons are personified as horned, red-skinned companions, or appear to don human skin like a disguise—metaphors for internal conflicts around sexuality, mental health, self-acceptance, relationships, and identity. Polly has created work for Bloomsbury, Dazed, Dr Martens, and Gucci, and she has enjoyed solo shows across London. In 2020, Polly collaborated with animator Andy Baker and the producers at WePresent on “How Have You Been?,” a short film about the mundanity and loneliness of life in lockdown.
