Khruangbin is a three-piece band from Texas, formed of bassist Laura Lee, guitarist Mark Speer and drummer Donald “DJ” Johnson. Taking influence from 1960s and 70s Thai funk, psychedelia and classic soul, their name literally translates into “Engine Fly” in Thai. The group discussed their album “Con Todo El Mundo,” and their dream collaborations as part of the WePresent series in which Gilles Peterson hosted live sessions with innovative and important musicians you’ve (probably) never heard of.
