Based in London, filmmaker and actor Charlie Cattrall is a graduate of the city’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 2010, he made his directorial debut, “Titus,” a modern-day story of a displaced African American musician attempting to come to terms with his troubled past. Amongst numerous plaudits, Cattrall was nominated as best new director at the British Independent Film Awards. Since then, his work has explored notions of power and sexuality, often through the medium of the human body, in particular utilizing the expressive potential of dance. He was chosen by Martin Firrell as one of the up-and-coming talents shaping the creative worlds of today and tomorrow, as part of our collaboration with creative network The Dots.
