Bilal El Kadhi is a French-born, Tunisian photographer and filmmaker. A self-taught artist, he’s spent his young career working on a mixture of personal and commercial work, with his most recent projects being “Life of Isaaq” and “Yonder,” two films that explore the beauty of Tunisia, and the pain felt by those who attempt to flee its shores. We spoke to him about the films, and discovered the deeply personal stories that laid the foundations for them to be made.
