Andrea del Muro is a Mexican photographer from Los Mochis, Sinaloa. We featured her project “Something Deep and Authentic Lives Within Us,” in which she documents the trance and tradition of Sinaloa’s masked Holy Week dancers. She explored how these masked dancers preserve a centuries-old blend of Indigenous and Catholic ritual, and in tracing their movements she rediscovered her own roots, and the quiet power of home.
