Amber Vittoria is an illustrator and poet working from New York City. Her work, lacing simple abstracted forms with bright sparks of color and joyous affirmations, depicts the (many) nuances of womanhood. Her illustrations, created using ink, color pencil and acrylic paints, seek to represent women—real women—with irregular shaped bodies, unusual faces and hairy legs. Amber’s colorful work was first featured on WePresent in a feature that explored her process and inspiration, but since then we’ve also published her illustrated poem Passersby, which considers the people who appear and disappear from our lives, however briefly. She’s also created work for Adidas, Chilly’s, Facebook, Aesop and Coach, among others.
